Nervous Records
Nervous Records has been putting out dance music from New York since 1991, when Michael Weiss and his father Sam Weiss started the label. It's one of the longest-running independent labels in the US, and helped launch the careers of Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, David Morales and Josh Wink. Its history runs from Sandy B's "Feel Like Singing" and Nuyorican Soul's "The Nervous Track" through hip hop classics from Black Moon and Smif-N-Wessun. Today it still releases soulful, deep and tribal house from Louie Vega, Danny Tenaglia, Teddy Douglas and Mochakk. Its sub-label _NRV, launched in 2024, puts out vinyl-first minimal, tech house and deep grooves on 180g wax.
